Critical evaluation in your dissertation

Critical evaluation in your dissertation Online

This session will look in depth at how to incorporate critical evaluation and analysis into your dissertation. It will cover what critical evaluation is (and what it isn’t), look at some examples of critical evaluation in practice, and consider how you can develop your own voice and argument in your dissertation.

Please note: this session is part of a Study Skills webinar series on completing dissertations, which is particularly aimed at students undertaking postgraduate dissertations on programmes such as AMIL, MA Law (Conversion) and MSc Psychology (Conversion). However, students conducting research projects on other programmes may also find these sessions useful and are welcome to attend. Students can come along to individual sessions as needed, but may find it useful to attend all webinars in the series as they all focus on different aspects of a larger process.

Other sessions in this series include:

  1. Planning and organising your dissertation, Wednesday 27 November, 1:30-2:45pm
  2. Reviewing the literature for your dissertation, Wednesday 4 December, 3:30-4:45pm
